NYJC is thrilled to be launching a year long partnership with People Express leading an exciting new programme “Passport To Music” in South Derbyshire, starting 28 October 2020, funded by Youth Music.

We’re thrilled to announce our Summer School and Summer Short Course 2021 will be held at Repton School in South Derbyshire, with our annual 13-day national auditions tour taking place during the 2021 easter holidays.

A huge thank you to the 63 stellar young musicians that joined NYJC’s 2020 online summer school and our incredible team of teaching artists including Emmy Award winner TV composer Michael Price; two BBC R4 power-listers – engineer and producer Olga Fitzroy, and NYJC multi award winning Artistic Director Issie Barratt.

We have had an amazingly creative four months online doing the jazz thing on Microsoft Teams and Zoom – weekly two hour sessions with our regional participants, to the new music of this year’s Creative Leadership Ensemble
