Every newsletter I add some top tips about what to listen to, learn, watch to help develop your skills in creative improvisation. Because we’re doing so much online this summer, my two very top tip for this newsletter are:

1. To spend August following our #NationalYouthJazz Wednesday and Summer School week live facebook streams and become an active participant in the Q & A sessions by posting loads of questions in the comments. Be sure to encourage fellow students / teachers to come and join us too. Don’t be shy!  
2. Follow the Spotify summer school repertoire playlists from 9th August – a link will also go up on Facebook – so you can hear the original tracks ahead of the live stream sessions and learn the tunes along with us!
