NYJC Summer School 2017 Concert (3pm)

Since 2007 NYJC has been uncovering England’s finest young jazz talent and treating them to an extraordinary in-depth week of tutoring and non-stop playing: discovering and learning with others of their own age and stage.

The result is stunning and this is the climax. Five combos of extraordinary 14-18 year olds take to the stage with new-found confidence, agility and enthusiasm. This year we feature exclusively works by great British jazz composers, arranged by the bands supported by outstanding tutors (most of whom are playing in the evening’s big concert), this performance will show how NYJC has played a formative role in shaping the future of jazz in the UK.

Owing to capacity issues this concert is for invited guests though some spaces may become available on the day.
