Applications should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12 noon on MONDAY 11 JANUARY 2016. Successful candidates may be called to interview on 14 and 19 January.
England’s lead youth jazz performance and education organisation seeks a creative and effective leader to build its new future.
NYJC is a young vibrant music organisation bringing the joy and skill of improvisation to young people through regional and national performance & education projects including the well-respected Summer School and its associated UK-wide audition tour. We are eight years old and a new Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation. We need to grow and develop quickly, reliably and imaginatively.
Our founder and Artistic Director, Issie Barratt, will continue to lead the wide-ranging delivery of our musical & training activities so you will lead the team, build an enterprising management structure, secure future finance, channel the support through our advisory panels and front up NYJC’s public and professional profile.
You will be an experienced Senior Manager able to lead a delivery and management team with particular skills in:
- Charities and arts organisations
- music performance and education activities
- regional and national work
- partnership working
- fundraising and financial management
You will relish the challenge of managing a disparate and sometimes distant team of professionals, volunteers, ex-students and supporters. You will enjoy bringing new skillsets into the organisation and forming new partnerships with like-minded music and business companies & charities.

Salary between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (pro rata) depending on experience.
