PROJECT OUTLINE: The ensemble will comprise up to 10 young female jazz musicians all playing to a high standard – working with a number of leading professional women jazz musicians whose brief is to support, guide and nurture the work CLE is doing.
The main focus of the 4 residential weekends is to develop compositions written (over the course of the programme) by each member to a high performance level, by honing composition, improvisation, performance and leadership skills. It’s a very exciting project that always blossoms to create two sets of wonderful new music!

If you’d like to be involved in the 4 residential weekends please contact NYJC’s Founding Artistic Director Issie Barratt on CLE@nyjc.co.uk for more details.
Very much hope you’re able to join us – I think the ensemble will benefit greatly from your contribution and you’ll have a wonderful time being part of the creative journey with your female peers.
